Bled south bypass connection Location; Bled, Slovenia Client; City of Bled Project; 2004 Project team; Matej Kučina Digital images; Sergej Hiti An unusual task that was not actually a project of planning the laying out of the new bypass for Bled, nor the landscape arrangement of the roadside area. The task was the visualisation, serving the client when negotiating with local population. With regard to the NIMBY effect (not in my back yard) it is normally the same, however good the presentation of such an intervention looks, the response of local population is almost always negative. In short, our task was to visualize the new bypass, set it in space and to provide as realistic an image as possible together with interventions for landscape design and noise barriers.
