Čufar square is probably the most important urban area in Jesenice, surrounded by important buildings of public interest: secondary school, cinema, theatre and library. The goal of the design was to create a programme-variegated multifunctional area that serves as a city square and as concert and public area at the same time.
The central part of the square is represented by the water element that creates different pictures in jets of water, by computer-controlled pumps and valves. The terrace of the premises can be used as performance area, the square is an auditorium. The use of cheaper materials was surpassed by the graphic image of an area that can be refreshed every few years with colour.
